A Hurricane-Season-Ending Cultural Celebration in Key West…

Since our start in 2017, Coast Is Clear has been a locally & independently produced cultural celebration of artists, musicians & fans alike from coast to coast — all of whom make the journey to the end of the road for the the first weekend of December’s legendary gathering.

This year’s program will include intimate shows & unforgettable sessions at iconic local hangouts, a sandlot baseball tournament at a classic Old Town park & surprise late night sets at world-famous, off-the-beaten-path venues.

The historic Bahama Village section of Old Town, Key West will be the hub for most all of the events, so head South for a laid back weekend in sunny Key West!

  • Here’s the deal…
This year all of the shows are going to be super intimate and totally memorable, so odds are you won’t want to miss even one of them.
So for the folks who are planning to be here all weekend — or even just three of four days — this is by far the best deal for you — we promise.
This ticket level allows you access and early entry to all shows from Thursday through Sunday.
We are releasing these early and they are extremely limited, so grab them while you can!

  • Scott Ballew’s All That Is Sacred premiered this September at the legendary Telluride Film Festival and has garnered rave reviews and acclaim by both industry and mainstream media outlets for its portrayal of the 1970s Key West literary (and fishing) scene. The film includes rare archival footage as well as recent interviews by Jimmy Buffett, Tom McGuane, Carl Hiaasen, and more.
Following the film, director Scott Ballew will speak and answer questions before a solo acoustic set of his original songs from the film score and beyond.

  • As the sun goes down, our good friend Cayman (of The Skank fame) will host the Blue Heaven Rendezvous — a Jimmy Buffett tribute complete with classic covers of the greatest hits and the deepest cuts mixed in with firsthand stories of growing up with Jimmy as a father figure.
He’ll be joined on stage with artists from the lineup in the very place that Jimmy not only held a few surprise concerts of his own, but where he got the inspiration for his 1995 ballad, Blue Heaven Rendezvous.
If you’d like dinner, call ahead to reserve a table.

  • In recent decades The American Legion bar and dance hall has been used, almost exclusively, as a quiet gathering space for local vets while playing host to private parties on occasion. But what almost nobody knows is that this very place — built in the early 1950s — hosted some of the biggest concerts on the island for decades including legendary shows by B.B. King, Otis Redding, and James Brown among others.
And this year — on Friday, December 1 — we’re calling on Futurebirds to put The Legion back on the map with the first big show there in decades from 8-9:30pm in the heart of Bahama Village.

  • On Saturday night, after a day of sandlot baseball down the street, head back to Bahama Village and get ready for John Craigie with Handmade Moments at The Legion for another unforgettable show in an intimate and iconic local setting.
We’ll open doors around 8:00pm with the artists taking the stage shortly thereafter. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house, but please get there on time as this is a more intimate set with stories interspersed with the songs.
Seating for The Legion shows are extremely limited, so make sure to secure your tickets early with a weekend pass!

  • On Sunday morning, our good friends at Key West Yoga Sanctuary will host a morning yoga session in their lush, tropical backyard setting. Following the class, among the palms and plumeria, we’ll have a special set by Rainbow Girls & John Craigie. There are very limited spaces for the yoga + music option (those are available through KWYS) but we also have a small amount of additional “music-only” tickets available for this event.
Yoga starts at 10:00am and participants can stay on-site. For the music component, plan for doors opening at 11:00am and music to start shortly thereafter around noon!
